Our Story

No lab. No marketing meeting. Just a snack idea that got out of hand — in the best way.

Chapter one

Just looking for a better snack

We didn't create The Pineapple Plug in some fancy lab or marketing meeting. I was just looking for better snack ideas one day — scrolling and searching for something that actually sounded good. I came across the idea of flavored pineapple in coconut water, tried it, and realized it had potential. But it wasn't there yet.

So I started tweaking. Soak times. Flavor combos. The way the pineapple was cut. I kept going until it finally hit the way I wanted — straight out of the jar, like unlocking a cheat code. When I tasted that version, I knew I'd perfected the recipe for me.

Chapter two

Then I did the dangerous thing

I asked my wife's opinion on my snack. She took one bite and gave me that look that says, "You know this is crazy, right?" Her reaction wasn't calm at all. She told me flat out these were too good to keep in our fridge.

After that I started handing jars to friends — the ones who don't fake their opinions. Nobody was polite. They overreacted to the flavor in the best way: laughing, cussing, asking what I put in it, telling me I had no business not selling this.

Chapter three

A local staple

That's when it stopped being just my favorite snack and became The Pineapple Plug. I wasn't trying to chase trends or copy anybody. I was turning the recipe I perfected for myself into a local staple — something people look for at events, pop-ups, and outside stores.

When The Pineapple Plug shows up, the flavor situation is handled.

What we care about

Our values

01

Real ingredients

Real cane sugar. Real pineapple. Coconut water. The colors come from food dye — that's part of the fun — but the fruit is always fresh and never syrupy.

02

Made fresh

Every jar is made to order or in small event batches. That means the flavor pops and the fruit still snaps. Best enjoyed within 3 days.

03

Local first

Crawfordville and Tallahassee first. Meeting the people who eat our food is the best part of the job.

04

Family owned

No investors. No corporate playbook. Just a family building something that reflects us — bold, tropical, real.
